December was FULL of enjoyment and heartbreak for our family. Hylind turned THREE and she couldn't have had a better birthday! So many of our friends came to support her and it is amazing to see how many people love her! She was able to open her Christmas and birthday gifts because we were headed home to Idaho for Christmas. Needless to say, our little girl got spoiled!
Three days before we were supposed to go to Idaho, we found out Bryan's leave would not be approved and we had to stay here for the holidays. This was a COMPLETE blow to our hearts! We needed to go home and see our families, but it was not to happen this year. The positive side to staying here was we got to go Christmas shopping twice! We needed gifts to exchange on Christmas so we got to go shopping again! We were very blessed to have many friends to spend Christmas with and to share our Christmas dinner. It turned out to be exactly what we needed for a perfect Minot Christmas!
With the holidays over and a new year beginning, it is only natural to look over the last year and admire how fast it went. In the last year, so much happened within our little family as well as our extended families. We were blessed with quite a few trials, BUT we overcame every one of them and we couldn't be happier! Moving to Minot has been a real blessing for Bryan and I because we have learned to rely on one another rather than the influences of our family and friends back home. Our little family is stronger and we have come to realize how much our family means to us and how much we are loved by our families we left home.
Most everyone has some form of a resolution for the new year and Bryan and I are no different. We are wanting to start the new year off right and what better way than to give us the opportunity to have a baby! We have tried for a while to have a baby, but it just has not been working out for us. Bryan and I have felt for a while now that our family is missing something. We have realized that we are missing a child. Since our Godson Connor was born, Hylind has shown the mother inside her and has proven she is ready to be a big sister. Bryan and I have realized what we are missing and this is what we need to do to fill our void!
