*~Happy*Halloween~*

Our Halloween was awesome! We were able to spend the day as a family and spend the evening with the Smith family. Hylind LOVED getting dressed up and loved that she got to put on mommy's makeup. She marched around the house like a princess telling daddy how pretty she was. We got to go trick or treating with the Smith's and two other families. It was so much fun to watch the little ones RUN to the door and knock while yelling at the top of their lungs "TRICK OR TREAT!" The whole neighborhood heard us coming! Hylind didn't quite get the concept of getting free candy. When a house would give her candy, she would search through her bucket and try to give some candy back. I have taught her how to share VERY well :) It got cold VERY fast and soon Hylind's little fingers and legs were hurting her so after only an hour of trick or treating and a FULL elmo bucket of candy, Hylind was ready to go home and take a hot bath.

After Hylind went to bed, Bryan and I made a pumpkin cake. Bryan found the recipe in a Good Housekeeping magazine about two months ago and has been really excited to make this cake. I think it turned out GREAT and it made his day!
